Robin Kaplan gets all five stars for not only her breastfeeding class, which my husband and I attended this summer, but her excellent work as a lactation consultant after our baby was born. I faced some weight issues with our little one and had to call in her services for help. She was friendly, was able to fit us in quickly, and gave us a discount because we had attended her class. But even better is that after the initial consultation, Robin was available for multiple phone calls and helped us re-evaluate and reconfigure our plan as needed without additional charge. Her positive and kind nature together with an ability to tailor her advice to a variety of situations is the reason I have enjoyed working with her so much during a challenging time. I highly recommend both the class and the consult to other expecting and new moms.

Robin Kaplan with San Diego Breastfeeding Center has been a life saver for me and my family. Like most new moms I was a bit unprepared for the complexity and woes of breastfeeding. Sure it's a easy and beautiful thing...most of the time. But my first child did not latch properly and I was in tears; wanting to feed my child but in too much pain! Robins expertise not only got us off to the right start but helped me become more confident. Along the way...sometimes we can feel like our babies aren't getting enough -or that we are not doing a good job but having Robin's assistance I have learned so much. So you would think 16 months later with my 2nd child I would be good to go- but my second child was just like the first (with a difficult latch) so having access to the San Diego Breastfeeding Center and specifically Robin Kaplan is the best resource ever! My son successfully breastfed for 9 months, until I became pregnant. And my 8 week old is now a breastfeeding champ! What else can I say!

Robin is an amazing teacher! I send all of my HypnoBirthing parents to her classes. She keeps it simple and fun. Dads enjoy her classes and feel a part of the whole breastfeeding scene by the time the class is over. Robin has been fantastic! From the first class I took while still pregnant to learn easy breastfeeding techniques, to the reality of having difficulty with my daughter gaining weight and latching she has been a constant support. Robin even drove to my house in the pouring rain just to check my daughters weight to make sure we were on the right track. The support group at baby garten is fantastic, it's a great opportunity to learn something and meet new moms, especially if you are like me and don't have a lot of friends with other kids. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding I encourage you to put this on your list of resources!
